Title: Automated Screening of Antibacterial Nanoparticle Literature
Abstract: Antimicrobial resistance is a growing global health threat. Inorganic nanoparticles (NPs) with intrinsic antibacterial properties show significant promise; however, efficiently identifying relevant studies from the expanding literature remains a major challenge. In this study, we explored the effectiveness of traditional machine learning and deep learning methods in classifying scientific abstracts in the domain of NP-based antimicrobial research. Also, we introduced AINA dataset which enables reproducible, large-scale identification of intrinsically bactericidal inorganic NPs.
In the presentation, I will introduce the A(antibacterial) I(norganic) NA(noparticles), hence AINA, dataset, and discuss the performance of various classification models. Then, I will present our findings regarding the study.
