A Cutting-Edge Patient Simulator for Medical and Engineering Training
Topic: A cutting-edge patient simulator for medical and engineering training
Speaker: Dr. Erhan Yumuk
Dr. Erhan Yumuk is a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University and an assistant professor at Istanbul Technical University. His research interests include fractional-order modeling and control, anesthesia-hemodynamic system modeling and control system design. He focuses on developing advanced modeling and control techniques to enhance efficiency and reliability in medical and engineering applications.
Abstract: In this talk, Dr. Yumuk will introduce a cutting-edge patient simulator designed for both medical and engineering training, utilizing real-time data. He will explore the integration of human expertise with computer optimization to drive innovation in clinical practice. Additionally, he will discuss major challenges in anesthesia, particularly the clinical application of computer-based constrained optimization for multi-drug infusion rate control, addressing its significant impact on hemodynamic stability.
